temp sending unit for edelbrock intake

I have a 66 with a 302 in it.  It has an edelbrock intake on it.  I am trying to install the temp sending unit (old stock electrical one) but of course the threads are different.  It looks like the hole is a 1/2 inch npt thread but the sensor is slightly larger.  Does anyone know where to find an adapter fitting or if another brand of sensor will work?  I am just needing something to use for the stock electrical gauges.

Re: temp sending unit for edelbrock intake

I havent seen any vehicle use anything larger than 1/2" npt for a sensor. If you measure the outside of the threads this site can help you determine which size pipe you actually have. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/npt-national-pipe-taper-threads-d_750.html
