I found all the part numbers you listed with the exception of the calipers. They did have some re manufactured Raybestos front calipers and Motorcraft rear calipers, but no Motorcraft front calipers. Do these go in and out of stock periodically?

I think you took Steve's search criteria too literally. He gave you the part numbers of the Motorcraft remanufactured MACH 1 calipers (same caliper, no COBRA name on it). If you search
Rockauto,
FORD,
2004,
Mustang,
4.6L DOHC,
Brakes,
Caliper,
you will find an assortment of remanufactured calipers from a variety of vendors. Rockauto usually has the MACH 1 calipers and only occasionally has COBRA calipers.

You are corect, there are a lot of remanufactured calipers out there that will work, but I wasn't specific enough in my post. What I should have said is that I can't find any Motorcraft 40mm calipers, which is what I was looking for.

But I just gave up looking for those and bought the Mach 1 calipers on the eBay link that Steve just posted.  Thanks, Steve!

Hi Steve,
Will my KH disk brakes work with the larger pin spindles? Do I have to change my outer tie rod ends? I was reading some articles about axel failures on the stock 65/66 spindles so I was thinking about upgrading. I open track my car a couple times per year then street drive it the rest of the time.

Yes, the KH disc brakes will fit these spindles.  You will need to change wheel bearings to the A12 and A13 kits instead of A2 and A6 as currently used.  This will mate the rotors to the larger axle.

On tie rods, you have two choices if your car has manual steering.  1. Convert to Granada outer tie rods or 2. install a pair of my TRB-65GR tie rod adapters.

Hi Steve-
If you recall I ordered the 65/66 spindles with the big axle from you a few months ago.  This week I am going to order a manual TCP rack & pinion for the car and the kit will come with inner and outer tie rods.

Should I use your tie rod adapters with the tie rods supplied by TCP or would I be better off getting Granada outers?  If Granada is easier, which year(s) would work with the spindles?

Edit:  I was just reading the info on your adapters and it says 70 outer tie rods are another possibility.  Any reason to prefer either the Granada or 70 outers over the other?

Thanks!

Re: Brake options for 65/66 Spindles with big axle?

The spindles use Granada size tie rods.  If the rack can fit a Granada tie rod, that is what I would use.  75-80 Granada

Just an fyi, I placed the order today and Granada tie rods do work with the rack.  Thanks again.

whitestang,
Probably best to start a new topic with your question.
