Well, yesterday afternoon I moved the 66 from the shop to the garage. This morning Jean's brother and I took it for it's first official "shake down" run. I'm very happy to report that at 75...or any lower speed it is rock steady with no vibrations or howlie noises coming from the rearend. I do have to charge the AC, figure out why the cruise control refuses to engage and why the check engine lite goes on when decellerating and won't reset until I turn off the ignition. But it drops no codes.....hmmmm. And maybe install some reverse-eye springs.
All other systems seem to work fine and I really like that Borgesen box.

Thanks a million for all the encouragemenent...it really did help. Hope to see you all in Wemberly very soon.

Well that looks really really swell! Do you have mid-eye springs in there now? I do and wish I'd gone with the reverse eye style too. Congratulations!

Thanks for all the kind words Guys. It sure is a good feeling. Matt, I have the standard eye springs and a 1" lowering block. The reverse-eye springs are supposed to bring it down 1 1/2 inches....we'll see. If necessary, I can mill the blocks to bring it back up what ever is needed.

Pablo, the color is...believe it or not...an early 90's Subaru color called Nassau Turquoise. You probably won't see many other early Mustangs in that flavor.

How many test drives did you take today??

The first thing I noticed was the sheen in the paint. It really pops. Car looks fast standing still. Congratulations, and, looking forward to seeing you and the car at the Bash in Wimberly.
