Drove the 66 up to the Gunnison, CO car show today...

as part of our "shake-down" process.  No problems, everything works fine, even got to test my new 73 F150 delay wipers.  My new homebrew HVAC kept our feets toasty on the way up this morning and kept us reasonably comfortable on the way home.  Unless something blows up this week it will be seen soon in Wimberly, TX.

Here's a few pix of my favorite cars from the show.

This 35 Chevy from Oregon is stunning and it's a driver.  I had a 35 Pontiac Delux Touring Saloon years ago...my second biggest "let it go" disappointment...far as I know, only the 35 GM Delux bodies had four "seemore" doors.  Absolutely beautiful!

In 67 I wanted a new Tempest with the single stick six.  Apparenly I was one of maybe ten guys that did want one 'cause they are really rare.  This  68 Firebird is just a pirme example of the breed.   Love it!

One really nice Torino SCJ.

Where my heart really lies.  All it needs is a Rajo or a Fronty head to be perfect.

I'm not a big MoPar guy but this Coronet gets my vote for "highway cruiser" of the year.

This is a very nice driven example of the second pretiest Ford...IMO.

And this is the car I wanted as a kid and never ever got close to one.  When I thinkk of "Classic" Sports Car....well, nothing else really qualifies.

Jean was quick to ask why I didn't take any shots of our car and two others we cruised with...Geezerhood, that's all I can offer.

See ya'all soon.

BB

This picture is as close as I have to one of the car completed.  In this pic the cruise control wasn't working but I don't think that shows, Terry.

See ya soon, my friend.

Sorry Corky...no offense to shoe-box fans everywhere.  I always liked the fifty-two, three, four Fords so this Crestline Glasstop just caught my eye, pretty rare.  Never did see under the hood.

GP, you have a PM.  I posted some pix of my custom system sometime last year, I think.  Can't find it but if you shoot me an email I'll send what I have.

Nice  Pics BB, is that a 36 ford? One of my favorites also.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Yup...that's why I said "my second favorite" Ford.  37 is my favorite.

Thumbs up!

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Wow! That was a great car show, Bob.  I'd like to see some shows around here like that one.
