Examples to hide my wiring?

Sorry for the repeat question, but I did a search and did not find a previous example.

On my '65 fastback I want to remove the points and install petronix. I was told from the manufacturer that all I need to do was install, hook up the positive and negative and go - but it no worky. I suspect my original rally pac is interfering. So if I run a power wire, how do I hide it to keep a stock appearance under the hood?
As MS says, running points would be pointless. His joke not mine!
Thank you

Re: Examples to hide my wiring?

Mike...I ran some of my wires(when doing the big "hidden wiring trick") underneath other bigger wires that were already there. Another trick is run several needed wires inside a piece of rubber tubing (the smaller the better) and then branch the wires out from there.Piggy back the wire out of sight under vacuum hoses . Run the wire along the inside of the wheel well and then drill a hole in the lower part of the engine compartment  so only a small piece of wire is visible. Spray paint the wire the same color as under hood so it is not a " yellow and red stripe wire running along a flat black eng compartment".

Re: Examples to hide my wiring?

What wasn't working, the ralley pack, or the engine not starting? I have a 67 390 gt with tach, and it was a small headach to get it right. In the 67 the ignition is built in series with the tach, and that wont take a full 12 volts which is what the pertonix suggests. Is the ralley Pak tied in the same way?

Re: Examples to hide my wiring?

Rtm,
I have the same situation as you did. Tach Is in series. Not enough juice for the pertronix and the car doesn't fire off. I could run an extra wire out to the coil but was looking to keep the engine bay stock. What did you do?
Thanks

Re: Examples to hide my wiring?

I found several rolls of wire loom wrap at a local dollar store. It looks like electrical tape without any adhesive. I just added all of my additional circuits and then just added a second layer of loom wrap over the original covering, it made everything look new and really hid the new wires. Since they are now branching out like the factory wires, you would have to know what is stock to know that anything has changed. Half a roll did the entire under hood loom.

Re: Examples to hide my wiring?

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.
I am running a wire off the back of the ignition switch, through a hole (dimple) at the firewall, then wire loom wrap into the engine harness across the manifold and out to the distributor. Tediously, but will get 'er done! All this for electronic ignition- I hope it is worth it!
