What have I got?

This past weekend I went to the local pick-a-part and while there I got two proportioning valves off of disc brake cars.  What is confusing is they have no 7/16-20 ports only 3/8-24 ports. Ford part numbers are E1DC-28328-AA and D4DA-28328-AA.  What do I have?   Thanks

Re: What have I got?

My quick google search indicates E1DC may be about a 1985 LTD and the D4DA about a 1974 Maverick

The E1DC actually came off an early 80s Fairmont with 4 lug disc. I'm concerned about the lack of 7/16-20 ports.  I think I read a thread recently that stated that the lack of 7/16 ports means it is a distribution block. They definitely had disc brakes.

Re: What have I got?

7/16" threads does not tell you anything. My Versailles four wheel disc valve has all 3/8" threads.

Thanks MS, that's what I wanted to hear.

Re: What have I got?

The thing that matters is if it is off a disc/drum car or a disc/disc car,

Re: What have I got?

I'm rebuilding the clutch and rod assembly on my 73 Mustang convert. 3spd. 302 base model.
I am having a little trouble with the return springs. does anyone know if  I need the lower rod to firewall spring?
diagrams show it but don't offer a part #
71-72 years diagram show part #7523 but applies to BOSS 302 not the base 302
Thanks for any input, TMO

You need to start your own thread.  You'll get better responses that way.
