Is good/better reception achieved by a good antennae OR a good radio?
Will a good antennae help a cheap radio when trying to "pick up" a weak station signal?
Jus' wondering?!

One of those 9 foot whips like the CBers had back a few years ago centered on your roof should give your crystal set a bit more gain .

A good antenna might help a cheepo radio butt (TS & T) a good radio will work better with any antenna. I dumped the crappy Custom AutoSound and got a good Retro Model 2. With the antenna fully retracted, in the shop, the radio had better sensitivity and selectivity than the Custom on it's best day. Add in the Bluetooth and other features and it was well worth the $329 that it cost.

If I mounted my antenna under the car know one would be able to see my cool rat fink antenna ball!
