I would need to see the AAW schematic. Are you using stock ignition switch? I want to clarify what you have happening. the starter is not cranking over the engine with the key in the start position, but it cranks in the Run position? or is that the ACC position?
sounds like something isn't wired right on the back of the ignition switch.
AAW started out making chevy wiring harnesses and then later branched out to do fords.

no Crank in ACC. (key to left). Crank in IGN. (first click to right). No sense in attempting the normal key all the way to right and release.

If you can quickly go to the START position, and it doesn't crank, then I think those two terminals are reversed on the back of the switch.

What wire do you have connected to the 'S' terminal on the solenoid

Mark AAW does no have a schematic for their product. That is the biggest problem with heir product.

Tied the purple from the Ignition and the purple from the fuse box (Branch 1) together and connected to "S" on solenoid. Problem is that the ignition purple wire is hot in the ignition (first click to right) position.

Sorry I should have dug into this a little farther a little sooner. There is a purple wire on branch 5 labeled (neutral safety switch). I connected this directly to the 'S' terminal on the solenoid. Tie no other wires together and this will work but the neutral safety switch will be by-passed. If you don't want the neutral switch bypassed connect the purple wire labeled (neutral safety switch) to the neutral switch on the transmission. There should be another purple wire labeled (solenoid) branch 6. Connect one end to the neutral switch and the other end to the solenoid. These were the 2 I was talking about tying together. Hope this helps.

on mine is Branch 3. Wire 5, comes out of the ignition switch. But this wire is hot on Ignition. (First click to right). So when connected to "S" the just cranks. I will call AAW this week. Thanks

Maybe they changed to wiring color, what label is on the purple wire. You want the one labelled neutral safety switch. Maybe there is a defect.

Called AAW tech support. Traced is to a bad switch. Start wire getting hot in wrong key position. Bought kit in 2011. Sending me new switch free of charge.

AAW has pretty good tech support, I used it to start making a schematic. If they had a good schematic they probably wouldn't get as many tech support calls. I will add, when I ordered my kit from them, there was something missing from the kit. I called and they replaced it no questions asked. Glad to hear they took card of you too.

Got the new switch and works perfectly. But had to send my MSD box and distributor back to MSD for repair. Anybody else issues with defective parts out of the box?
