Hi guys,
As I hate the factory ride height and that I love the way Cara's Mustang sits, I've bought and installed Grab A Track 620 lowering springs on my car.
After that I heard like a strange little rolling noise and I had a weird feeling driving.
I first thought that I should not have lowered the car that much... but no, all of you guys did and your cars look awesome!
I thought maybe the UCA was touching the rim? no
I've just found out : in fact it's my sway bar that touches the chassis!
Anybody ran into that problem?
should I use another type of sway bar? or take my bigger hammer and make room?
FYI : I have a 302, and a cheap 1" sway bar from CJ...
But I also have a Whiteline 24mm bar at home (it's a friends bar but I can use it if better than mine)

I had the same problem with the 620 springs and the grab-a-track 1" sway bar. Ended up putting my original one back on to clear up the issue.

I've thrown away my old sway 6 month ago...
But that doesn't sound really like a solution. But I'm happy not to be the only one facing that problem !
Would another specific sway work better?
Could I use shorter links?
lowering blocs under my sway bar bushings?

I had a similar problem and it was the length of the end links.
Changed the end links for a stock set which turned out to shorter than the ones I had causing the problem.
All is much better now.

You might have the sway bar on upside down.

WHAT ???
is that possible to install it wrong?
Damn, if I did I will be ashamed all my life! it's been 6 month it's on the car!
I'm gonna go check right away...

News about my sway bar that was touching the chassis, a picture will be more explicit than explanation:
The black one is a cheap 1" bar from CJ
The grey one is a pricy 24mm bar from Whiteline
As you can see on the picture, the angles are clearly not the same... On my lowered 66 now I have almost 2" clearance with the chassis where is was in contact with the black one.
Another interesting fact is that even if the diameters are quite similar, the cheap bar is heavy as hell.
As my Mom always says : "we're not rich enough to buy cheap products"
always listen to your Mom, she's sooooooo right!
problem solved.

Sounds like the black bar is solid and the silver one is tubular. Any idea what the spring rates are on the two bars? (Sway bars are torsion bars which are springs, so they have a spring rate.)

No idea, both come from CJ pony parts with no extra information...
But if somebody has an hesitation, do not go for the cheap one !!! it's crap.
By the way it's fun to see as CJ doesn't publish the bad comments that I write, only the good ones go thru.
sent them an e-mail to ask them why and I've got no answer!
