anybody know why when I installed a cheap grant steering wheel my power steering got jerky and not what I liked with the stock wheel?it's a borgeson unit that I've had for 2yrs and felt great with stock wheel but my 6'8" son complained he needed more room to shift the t5 upgrade so I thought a smaller wheel would help along with seat track extenders.but not happy any help would be appreciated.

Is the steering column tube dragging on the Grant wheel adapter by chance? The gap can be adjusted by sliding the column tube up or down.
What year is the car?
