Some where in my garage are a pair of steering stops for the Stang, Which are wired together for safe keeping. Which does not seem to have worked. Spent the week end rooting through boxes of parts in said attic in the heat. No stops to be found any where. I know that someone out there has a set sitting on a bench. Could someone shoot me some picture's with some dimension's from the back of the stop to the mounting holes? I really do not want to buy some. As soon as I do they will jump off the bench and I will trip over them. Thanks for the help.

Wired together? Are they hanging on a nail on the wall? I'm good for stuff like that.

You're not alone. Spent time this weekend looking for stuff I still can't find. Storing in a safe place for me is subjective and the place changes with thought process.

You stored it in a place so safe... it's safe even from you! I have done the same many times!
Like you said, you'll trip over it and have to move it out of your way as soon as you buy a replacement.

I spent 20 minutes this morning looking for a check off sheet for our safety manual. I finally gave up, went into a meeting and had to ask my boss where we left off on the safety manual. Afterwards I go back to my office and right on my wall, in plain sight, my check off sheet is pinned up where I can't lose it. Save your self some time, go buy the new stops. You will trip over the old ones as you are walking in the garage with the new ones. Nobody can tell me there are no such things as gremlins.

I usually find things in the FIRST place I looked.

Before I bought and installed shop and garage cabinets to get organized I rarely had trouble finding things. Now with cabinets I can't find a thing.

IT'S ALWAYS IN THE LAST PLACE YOU LOOK. If it was in the first place I looked, it wasn't lost. Wait a minute, the first place I looked was on the wall in front of me. (GREMLINS)

I always find things right after I buy new ones.

OK, so we know they are wherever I left them. The last place that I will look for them. And I will find them after I get new ones.
So can anyone get me a measurement from the aft end to the closest bolt hole?
I will make a set so the old ones will turn up!!!!! We all know they will.
Thanks

I have a pair you can have. I told another forum member a couple of years ago he could have them, but I could only find one. By the time the other one turned up, I forgot who it was that needed them.
I am pretty sure I can find them this time because I PUT THEM WHERE I KNEW I WOULD BE ABLE TO FIND THEM.
If you will pay the $6.80 for postage and post ONE GARAGE POINT, they are yours, assuming...
Email to steve@mustangsteve.com if you want them.

Let me know if you need a different measurement.

That is the measurement I need.
Thanks
Since MS has offered to send some, I may not need the measurement. Does it mean that the old ones will not turn up because I'm not buying new ones, or am I going to trip over the old ones coming back from the mailbox!!!!!

All I know is that my self esteem related to my organizational skills gotta a little boost today.... I'm the first guy that could come up with the stops

You'll trip over the old ones right after crawling out from under your car from installing the MS ones.
