Re: My latest project

Great suggestion, Jim.  Butt (TS&T), I really like the BlueTooth feature with the phone.  That part works great.  When I'm alone, I divide my listening time between Liberal radio and Conservative radio...keeps the blood flowing...RIGHT!!  LOLOLOLOLOL

Terry,

I have a challenge with Steve's radio; too wide to fit in my console where Steve has his mounted.  What radio do you have, make and mode,l and can you send a pic of it mounted in your car?

Al and DBROWN
both, Steve and I have custom consoles in our cars.  Not sure what Steve's is but I built mine.  That is why they will fit.  My reciever is a Sony mex-n4100BT and Steves is a Pioneer AVH-X4800BS.  I will take a picture of mine later and post it, here is Steve's

Very nice.  Do you know how he made the cup-holders?

Re: My latest project

The thing about stereos it can be like a motor you can keep on adding [more and more power lol. I like my music and I like running a separate amp. a good 4 channel and descent speakers will improve the sound of any head unit I am I'm in the process of installing a stereo in my 65 coupe. A 4 channel amp with 6 1/2 alpines in the kicks and package tray. the alpines have separate tweeters. the one in the front are placed in the 4x6 dash placement , they will reflect off the windshield and give real good highs,  I did the same in the 64 convert and it sounds great. I will also run a sub and no it wont take up the whole trunk. the trick with a sub bass is to get the box  with the right air space. the manufacture will tell you what the speaker needs. it is amazing how much sound you can get with the right airspace.

65 coupe, 351w, c4, power disk brakes, power r&p, vintage air.

Re: My latest project

Hey all.. Just wanted to update the console is the TMI Sport R console that we have at Steve's Mustang Parts.  I put one in my 65 also and plan to do a similar system.  It is nice.  Keep in mind that on this build we also used lizard skin sound and ceramic spray along with B-quit ultimate mat in the cabin area.  The dog dishes in the kick panels have acoustical Boom Mat.
