My dad passed away on Sunday morning. There just isn't much else to say. I took him into the hospital on Wednesday night and he was gone by Sunday. He was a wonderful man and lived a good full life. I will miss him dearly every day. Make sure that you tell your loved ones that you love them. Miss you Pop.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Ron. I lost my Dad 8 years ago and still think of him daily. I dealt with the loss by remembering his good qualities and the good times we had together. Grief gives way to smiles in time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I wish there was something I could say to make it better, but having been through it myself I just know there isn't. It will get better in time, or at least lessen. Its been 17 years since I lost my dad. I still miss him, and I'm sure I always will, because I'll always love him. Most times its pretty easy, but sometimes things will trigger those emotions and its like ripping off a scab. All forms of pain I suppose are part of life, doesn't make it any easier. Life's too short, and I think about that as I get closer and closer to the age my dad was when he passed. Its why we need to never miss an opportunity to hold those we love, to tell them we love them and that we're proud of them, and why we need to be careful what we say in anger or frustration because we never know if it will be the last thing we say to them. You were truly blessed to have your father for as long as you did. Any amount of time will always have been too short. We know its an inevitability, yet its one for which its still impossible to prepare. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it without those we've lost. I'll share a quote that I heard recently at a funeral for a friend: "Life breaks all of us, but some of us, afterward, are stronger at the broken places." -Ernest Hemingway

Thank you to everyone who posted. I appreciate your kind thoughts. It is indeed a tough time, but a kind word or expression of support does help to make things better. I know that it is a part of life we all must go through, but that doesn't make it any easier when the time comes. Thanks again.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
