serpentine belt pulley? Not even sure what kind of pulley remover tool to use because the pulley is flat
with the shaft on the pump.
Thanks

Don't know what kind of puller goes on the pulley pictured but a special puller goes on the factory pulley. That's what the "knob" on the front of the pulley if for. It is U shaped to fit over the "knob" with the bolt going down through the middle of it. There are a lot of pics on Google.

I'd call the manufacturer and ask them.

Check with the manufacturer. I would posit that you could use a two or three jaw puller, but you don't want to tweak that aluminum. Then, what's the procedure for installation? Something like a harmonic balancer installer? Let us know what you find out, now I'm curious!

I was able to get some washers behind the pulley and some lengths of thread rod and some nuts. I made a piece of 3/8 inch plate steel with holes to match the three holes and center hole. Then used the stud from my pulley remover and nut to get the thing off.

I like that.
Ingenuity!

I just called Unisteer. There solution is buy a $500 pump from them with serpentine belt pulley installed...LOL. They said its difficult to removed the pulley and that's what they advise owners. Steve69

The problem might be that they probably only speak Mandarin...

Presuming you have no use for the pulley you are removing, die grinder or dremel......

That might take it off. Not quite sure how Id get the new on. Unless I use MS Method...LOL

Press it out with a hydraulic press...support the pulley at the shaft and press...its too easy....now going back on is another story, unless the shaft has interior threads......jj

If the pump shaft has threads in the hole you should be able to rig up something like a harmonic balancer installer to get the new one on.

Thanks for the help Guys!

If you get it off, can you bake the new one in an oven 250 or 300 deg?

And put the pump in the freezer overnight, you would be surprised grabbing the pulley with welding gloves or your wife's oven mitts! you can slide it on
