Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Should be available at your locat auto parts supply, NAPA, PoopBoys, O'Reiley's,or what ever.
You may have to go through several Parts Counter Monkeys though, Hehheh

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Can you post a pic? Is it the same as a 66? I have a bucket full of spare parts from my old I6 that I don't need anymore.

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Nilester, I'm on vacation down in Florida, won't be home until Wednesday. If in no big hurry I will check as soon as I get home.  Should have told you that up front.  Let me know,   Mike

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

The description of a new rotor on Oreilly website says it comes with a retaining clip.  And its 3.99  Masterpro

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MPI0/23219/02787.oap?year=1966&make=Ford&model=Mustang&vi=1332874&ck=Search_C0413_1332874_1634&pt=C0413&ppt=C0334

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Thanks for the info, actually I went to O'rellys the guy had No idea what i was talking about, kept telling call the manufacturer or a dealer.. and the Rotor he pulled out did not come with the clip, Not NAPA, Autozone, or Advance carries it.

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Nilester,  if you'll go to the O'reilly website and look that part up, then follow the links - which will have you select your nearest store - the website will tell you if that store has that part.  If the store does not have it, print out the description page for the rotor, go to O'reilly store and have them order the part.  Ya know, a lot of those counter people were flipping burgers last week.
Good Luck

Re: 1967 Mustang I6 200 Distributer

Nilester, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I ended up staying a day longer on vacation than I thought. I guess that I got rid of the I6 distributor when my brother took the motor to the scrap yard for metal.  I knew that I had a dist. on the shelf and thought it was the 6 dist. Upon checking it is for a 8 and there is no rotor on it.  Sorry for the misinformation.
