Mike, good thing you're more than an arms reach away...............Saturday it was 22 with 25mph winds. Yesterday morning it was 10 degrees with minus 12 windchill.........woke up this morning to 9 degrees.....back in the mid forties tomorrow.........luving me some global warming..

Minus 5 actual this morning here in our little piece of heaven. Anything above zero sounds pretty good to me.

Nearly a foot of wet snow Saturday morning, six degrees yesterday, five this morning. Butt, we hardly never get tornadoes, hisacanes, two million idiots, riots, traffic jams, or hum-damn-didity over 30%. I guess I don't mind a little cool weather for a few weeks.

Butt when it does snow down there and us up here watching the news at 5 and the southern driving habits.....That gets entertaining......Just on the edge of almost funny.....
Us northerners do have to find ways to entertain ourselves when it is cold outside.

Guess I'm just a lil bit different ... going out today to find a snow covered mountain to attack with my snowmobile.
Had 2 feet of dry powder ... nothing quite like highmarking a slope at 75 mph ...

It's all what you make of if Barry. I was never much of a skier but I do like hitting the snow with the Quads. That's usually a good night out. And to keep it classic car related, rear wheel drive cars are fun to drive in the snow. I remember driving into work in a bad snow. I did a power slide between two sets of gas pumps, had the guys scattering like ants under a magnifying glass.

Geez you all live in the tropics, here in South Dakota it was -37 air temp and -58 wind chill, wasn't sure how cold it was by my thermometer since it goes to dashed below -35, National Weather Service recorded the official temps, chilliest spot in the nation, warmer in Antartica.

Just a small one, We also call guys who are scared of spiders and snakes shielas as well.
Seriously tho, we have at least 5 out of the 10 most venomous snakes in the world including the top two.
Don't forget the spiders ..... our version of the Black Widow, the Redback, is not considered very poisonous. Have the most poisonous spider as well.
Our "Tree Huggers" got a law enacted that says you hav'ta stop and give aid to injured native wildlife .. I'll leave it to the greenies to give a pissed off Brown snake CPR.
Hey Rich, are you sure ya wanna come visit? Not a lotta snakes in the snow.

Seriously, that's ridiculously cold. It was -10 on the thermometer in my back yard this morning and that was cold enough. I think the coldest it's ever gotten here (that I can recall) is about -20. I can't imagine -37. I've been skiing before with wind chills at the top around -60. I don't ever want to do that again.

I'm guessing that is a hunter, not a web spinner.
Offline
Yes it is .... we have another called the Huntsman, just as big, but more wide spread. Nothing like seeing one of them running across the windscreen ..... and then realizing its on the inside.

That thing looks like it might have a brain big enough to learn its name and do tricks.

That settles it... I'm never going to Australia!... I would want to carry a 12ga pump shotgun with me everywhere I went just for those monsters.

That wont work .... pumps and all semi-auto rifles now makes you a criminal

Lots of people have dogs, cats, and pigs for pets. Put a leash on it and take it for a walk.

I don't mind spiders that big, you can hear them coming, it's the little ones that bite before you know it.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
