Hello,
I want to upgrade my 1970 disc brake spindles to a big brake setup without changing over to a drum spindle.
Does anyone make a big brake setup or conversion for the disc brake spindle?
Thanks and Happy New Year.

You could fairly easilly make youre own brackets that could adapt better brakes to youre exicsting spindle. I actually made a set of brackets that mount the V6-GT2005-2015 mustang disc brake calipers to a disc spindle. But i then decided not you use the disc spindles on my car.

MS has great brackets for disk brake upgrades or check out Street or Track.

As mentioned they are pretty easy to make a set if you have even beginner fab skills. I made my first set of disc brake brackets back in 1976 at the age of twenty. I have a set of home fabbed brackets for 1994-2004 13" Cobra brakes sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
