I'm putting together a 1968 mustang power steering unit to fit my 1967 mustang. Would any one know a starting
point or rule of thumb for installing the control valve onto the center ,or drag link?. I screwed it on about all the
way but the last 4 or so threads or a little more than a 1/4 inch to the end. I have a 1968 chassis assembly
manual, it shows a measurement of about 4.88 but its so faded you can't see where to start and stop to take the measurement. The center link was bare when I got it, I would to get it right, before I put it on the car.
THANKS mustang stu

I'm Glad that you got the info on the proper install of the control valve, perhaps you could share the specifics you got from Randy so that in the future others could benefit from it.
Maybe something for a sticky!

Glad he could help. I learned more about Factory Power Assist steering from him than I probably need to know. But my Power Assisted steering is working terrific.
