1969 C4 Transmission Pan Question

Getting ready to change transmission fluid / filter on 1969 C4. Would like to go to a deeper pan. I noticed that 1970 and up Mustang II and broncos used a deeper pan along with a extended pickup filter. Will / would there be a problem of not having an extended pickup if I went with a deeper pan without the extended filter? I cant find a extended pickup filter  to fit the 1969 valve body, just the 1970 and up.

Re: 1969 C4 Transmission Pan Question

Ed. as long as you are using the original dipstick and tube the transmission fluid will be at the correct level for your filter pick up level and should not cause any issues. Basicly all you would be doing is adding more overall capacity.
