Rear Disc Brake Cable Connection

1966 Mustang, 9" rear with MS disc mounting brackets, GT calipers
I have the cable that mounts to the rear discs and the original cable that mounted to the old drum brakes. Wondering where you would make the cut in each cable to splice them together. Anybody have any pictures of what they did that worked well for them.

Re: Rear Disc Brake Cable Connection

I have a similar issue, but not much available in the way of pics are available that I have found.
MS says to just cut the 94 - 04 e-brake cables to fit, but does that mean you have to remove and replace one end? Which end? Each end has a unique fitting for the caliper mount and the underbody mount. Just cutting off one end would mean you have no way to attach it securely to the mounting point.
I'll keep searching.......

I got it all figured out a while ago. I cut the cable housing, cut the cable, bought a piece of cable at the local harware store, bought some solid bar stock, drilled a hole trrough it, drilled and tapped two screw holes in the sides, slid the cables for each side through it, clamped the cables in the bar stock with some allen set screws. Seems to be working Okay so far.
