Installed Mustang Projects LED tail lights on my 1969 Mach 1. They are great very bright. I liked them so much I ordered the headlights, park lights, and side markers. I'll follow up when I finish the rest of the lights this week end.

I have Mustang Project Led taillights on my '65. I love them. I had one defective one that sequenced goofily and I did not notice it until the warranty was about up, They did replace it.
I had problems when I tried to use LED front parking/turn lights. No one could tell me why. It was a problem that you will not have on your '69 as you have a left and a right turn indicator light in your instrument cluster. The '65 only has one turn indicator light on the dash and the current was back feeding thru it causing both front lights to blink regardless of which way you had the lever. A special grounded LED bulb for the instrument cluster ended up being the solution,

On a related note...I found some great dash lights for my 66. After trying 3 sets of dash lights from Mustang Project in all variations (yellow w/blue filters, blue w/yellow filters, and their "aqua" colored bulbs) I tried some from HiPo Parts. They have a "factory color" bulb that is pretty darn close. It's a slightly pale yellow LED bulb for use w/ the blue filters (new, preferably). It's beautiful to behold. You want the Elite Series (brightest) factory color bulbs and maybe some fluorescent paint for your gauge needles. My needles don't really glow at all but they look better.
These are nice. There is some dimming ability, but not much. Highly recommended.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
