66 Mustang Coupe has cracking around C-Pillar, rear roof pillar bottom rear corner at quarter window on both sides of car.
I think this is a common stress fracture on these cars.
What is the correct way to repair? I have install sub-frame connectors.

V out the crack Give it a nice taper. Then weld a reinforcement on the under side. Then weld up the crack that you prepped.

These cars are very flexible. I’m in the process of installing torque boxes in front. Anything you can do to stiffen the unibody up will help.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
