Re: Pics of new wheels on the 68 coupe

The 54 F100 was completed a while back. The owner uses it daily AS A TRUCK.

One thing that turned out well that I had never done before was building a custom drive shaft by mating a shaft for a C-6 and a shaft for a crown vic. I cut both with a pipe cutter, welded some angle iron guides in three places and butt welded the shafts together. Then removed the angle iron.   I told him it was good enough to get him to a driveshaft shop, but it is still there after two months of daily use. And I tested it to 85 mph on the interstate with zero noticeable vibration.

Of course, my favorite car is my 66. If I had to, I could use it as daily transportation.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Pics of new wheels on the 68 coupe

I think your 66 FB is legendary. Your trademark So you have it in reliable shape? I am trying to get there with my car. I put off a load of things for about 15 years and now it is time.

Is there a link to what you did with the truck? I have only been able to see progress to chassis stage. I thought it was your truck too.
