On the back side of the wheel there is a clip with tabs for cancelling the turn signal . Is this just a slip fit on the hub or should it be stationary staked or spot welded in place ? It is not very tight but can move out of position .

No the replacement wheel is the original size . the clip with the cancellation knobs is not tight . Is it suppose to be just a slip fit on the back side hub ?

Are you dealing with an aftermarket wheel? That cancel ring is a friction fit on the hub. It should be tight and not be able to be rotated by hand.

Insatlled a turn signal switch from CJ Pony parts . Now all electrical works BUT the steering wheel slightly catches the switch in the switch center positin . I think that the tabs on the cancelling clip are a little big . (after market Junk ) any one else experience this . I probably going to have to pull the steering wheel for the 5 th time and bend them slightly so they don't interfe .
