I currently have 205 55 15 in front with a 215 55 15 rear. I installed new upper lower control arms and ball joins new 1" drop edelbrock ibrock? Racing coils up front with edelbrock shocks and new smallest available polybutylene coil bushing sorry cant remember size also changed the perch. I'm courious. For the guys that have done this is it ok to cut coils I know rodders do but couldn't it damage the integrity a bit? If not i think I wanna drop a Lil ways.

Have you installed the coils? I put new coils in 6-8 months ago and they are just now settling down. They have probably dropped at least 1" since installed. They were stock small block coils.

It's been a few years

Have you done the "Arning/Shelby drop" trick?..where you re-position the upper A-arms? That will let it down some. Anywhere from 1.5" or less.
Like everyone claims.........makes a huge difference in how it steers and handles! I didn't really believe it until I tried it.
6-cylinder front coils will let it down also and with good shocks makes for a heckuva nice ride.

Ya these are race 1 inch drop coils but they also are thicker and shorter by a ton but the weight they handle make them lower the ride a bit. On the Shelby drop did it neg affect the ride

The physics of a coils spring... If you cut the spring shorter, the spring will get stiffer. That said, if the springs are really stiff now, they will be really STIFFER if you cut them but, yes, the car will sit lower.
Why not just put some springs in that fit the intended use for the car?
