Anyone have any experience with Billet Hood Hinges. Looks like Ring Brothers sell a nice set at $640, there are some cheaper one's out there. The springs on my factory hinges are way too strong, afraid it's going to bend the hood.

Have you looked into using the same thing they use on the suv rear hatches, etc? My son found a kit for his 04 GT and they work great. I've been thinking about that for my 66.

If you are willing to spring for the cost of the Ring Brothers hinges, there is nothing out there as good looking. The last time I looked at them, they had dozens of styles. Good luck making a choice.
