I need to see pics of how y'all have plumbed in your master cylinders. Specifically with an adjustable prop valve. I'm getting ready to install a 2000 v6 mc with a booster and prop valve. The only related pic I've found is from James W which, by the way, is awesome.

Look on page 2. I have some pics of my brake lines. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the response. I got a lot of good info to work with. Do you by any chance have a part number and source for your rear caliper hoses?

Here are some pics of my MC mounting. I mounted the proportioning valve to the MC (94/95 Cobra SVT).
The lower pic shows the "Line-Loc' I added at a later date. While I have 4-wheel discs, I do not have a power booster, thinking of going to a hydro-boost system.
Hope the pics aren't too small, I can't seem to get them to a good size, either they're too big, or the next step is what is here.
If necessary, I can upload with the larger size.

Thanks Bob. I really like the way you mounted the prop valve to the mc. Did you drill and tap the mc? What mc are you using?

The MC is from a 94/95 Cobra SVT, Raybestos # MC390217, with a 15/16" bore diameter. This MC was recommended by Baer when I installed their rear disc brakes.
Yes, I did drill and tap the MC (1/4"-20) to mounted the proportioning valve.

Billy,
The brake hoses are Ford parts for right and left sides. 7R3Z-2A442-E & 7R3Z-2A442-F
Bought them here at from recommendations by TKO.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
