Alright. Here is a way to upload from your computer. You will need to have a google account (like gmail), and be logged into it.
1) Go to youtube.com , making sure you are logged in
2) Clicking the Upload button will give you these two options. If it doesn't , no problem just move to next step
3) Now if you are familiar with computers, and good with dragging and dropping things , then drag your video and drop it on the next screen that comes, it will start the upload automatically. If not, follow the below steps.
4) After this : WAIT .. and wait and wait till "Processing Done". If this is a long video, go move around, get lunch .. but make sure the computer does not shutoff during this process . IF its a small video under 5 minutes, it wont take that much time. MAKE SURE to copy that link to the left , that is the link you will post here to let us view your video.
5) This is the most important step , and for people concerned with privacy, you need to know this before making a selection.
public: video will be open to be viewed by anybody anywhere in the world
Unlisted : Video is public but hidden, and ONLY people with the (above)link you give them , will be ale to see it. So , if you post the link here it will be visible to all
Private: Means no matter if you give that link to someone, if the Private option is selected, your video is completely hidden and no one But you can see it
Scheduled: if you want the video to Publish at a later time.
For the forum use: you will need to select Public, or Unlisted, as whatever suites you
Once the selection is made: HIT Publish uptop, OR Done.
Youtube will give you the link one more time, for a chance to copy it.
once done, paste the link here, and thats it.
There is a way to embed the video here so it comes up as a playable link, but I need to check how complicated that will be.

well one thing, yo ucan make sure to upload high quality videos , like uploading from your home's wifi instead of the cell phone/tablet's cell signal.
OTher is just if you recird videos over your phone, and post, they are recorded HD so they should post HD, and those will be big and clear..
Hakan, if I you are using a simpler and cleaner method.. do share

Hey Gaba. Nice write-up and screenshots as always.
One small recommendation I would make is to check out a free program called Greenshot for your screenshots. It lets you make nice screenshots with boxes, highlights and arrows. I'm not being critical... just trying to help.

Yes and no, I use the exact same method as Gaba describes. The video quality comes from the work you do with your photo and video files when you put it all together on your local computer before uploading to YouTube. I always try to take photos and shoot video with the highest resolution available on my cameras or phone to give me the most material to work with so to speak. To edit I use HitFilm and Photoshop, HitFilm because it's available for free and Photoshop because I've used it since the nineties and too lazy nowadays to try to learn something new.
Thanks for putting the info together Gaba!

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
