68 Mustang 302

I saw a local ad for a 68 mustang with vin numbered 302, 2 barrel and C-4. He's asking 2000.00. The car is trashed, rusted out, cracked windshield and the motor is froze. Not worth 2000 to me.
But is the 302 worth something if the block isn't cracked?
Thanks

Not when you can get 5.0 roller motors in the junk yard (running!) for a 1/4 of that!

Re: 68 Mustang 302

Never heard of a two barrel 302 with matching VIN number on it.  Ad sounds bogus in that regard.
Leave it alone.  Advice to get a 5.0 roller instead is a MUCH BETTER IDEA.
