I did my disc brake conversion in my 1965 mustang back in 2002 with Steve's modified pedal assembly/power booster/ iron master cylinder and was wondering if the above master cylinder would be a better replacement . I have a 351W, front & back disc / original shock towers and brake lines. I have always felt there was a little less pedal then a modern car.

I had the cast iron mc on my 66 with front disc rear drums. I changed to an aluminum 92 ranger mc just because the cast iron one was getting ragged looking. I didn't notice any difference in braking one way or the other. I did create a problem for myself by not checking the length of the booster output shaft in relation to the new mc. Turns out it was 1/8" to long which caused my rear brakes to lock up after several miles. I've now change to a 2000 v6 mustang mc but haven't finished the install so I can't comment on performance yet.
