I purchased a Shelby GT500 from the original owner in 1971. It was a beast, way more horsepower than advertised. Due to divorce, I sold the car to someone locally in 1987 and give my wife half the money. It was one of the worst days of my life; sometimes you have to pay the price. The third owner raced the car for a few years and then sold the car to someone in the Woodlands. The fourth owner has restored the car to better than original, although I don't like the color, Britiany Blue. It was in the Shelby show here in Dallas in June of this year. The darker color blue is the color the car was when I owned it. It had white racing stripes which weren't on the car originally. See pics below:
