Tranny cooler lines

Hello all. 68 289, c/4.
I put a/c in the car recently and was wondering about the cooler lines that go to the bottom of the radiator. Im putting in a big block 24” radiator replacing the 20” standard. The tranny cooler fittings on the bottom of the radiator are different distances apart. The 20” radiator has 6” spacing while the 24 “ has 8”.  Do they sell the lines with different bends, or can i stretch and bend whats there to match?  Thanx

Re: Tranny cooler lines

You can buy the steel tubing at any auto parts store. Use SAE inverted flare fittings and a brass union. Super easy to extend the one tube or just make a new one all the way to the tranny for about ten bucks.

Or order a premade line from a 68 that came with small block and AC and C4 automatic.  It would have had the larger radiator.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Tranny cooler lines

You can buy prebent lines. My 68 came with a c4 and 24 inch radiator.
I sent you a PM
