Spark plug wire loom

Looking for pictures and purchasing information on wire looms that are both effective and pleasing to the eye for a small block.  I am not happy with what I currently have and want to make a change.  Thanks.

What do you currently have?

Re: Spark plug wire loom

Looks to be a Moroso or other aftermarket setup.  My biggest issue is that when working around the engine, the wire holders fall off the brackets very easily.  It doesn't look very neat either.

Re: Spark plug wire loom

I saw this on the "old" forum and think this would be much better than what I have now but I am not sure if the brackets used were homemade or store bought. If the owner (Kristang) would share the info I would appreciate it or if anyone else knows? Thanks.

Re: Spark plug wire loom

I made these out of the following:

Aluminum Flat Stock
MSD Wire Holders part number 8843
Button Head Screws and nuts to hold the separators to the flat stock
I also bought 2-4 place billet wire holders that are in front of the valve covers, similar to these:

I simply bend the aluminum flat stock on one end and drilled a hole on each end for fastening.

I made one change since these pics were taken.  I flipped the bracket around and it pulled the wires much tighter to the valve covers.  Looks much better!

Good Luck!

Re: Spark plug wire loom

The factory wire looms from Fox Mustangs are my favorite.  The valve cover bolts have long studs on them with a ball shape at the top.  The wire holders have a hole that slides over and clips onto those studs.  After that, it does the same thing as Kristangs routing, just not as high tech looking.

Re: Spark plug wire loom

I made mine from small and medium zip ties. I have MsD wires that you cut to length. Before the wires to into the plugs, I bought a winged arm from summit that attaches to the valve cover bolts.
