oil dipstick

hello all,
The dipstick leak some oil or vapor oil and make dirty some parts on passanger side .
I clean and let dirt again to see where it comes out . Seems from top,  where the dipstick close the pipe.
is it normal ?
Is not leaking where the dipstick goes in the engine .
some suggestion ?

Re: oil dipstick

That is typically caused by internal blowby for worn rings or valve guides.
Or could be as simple as a malfunctioning pcv valve.

Re: oil dipstick

There was a group buy on $100.00 PCV's here a while ago.
My  $6.95 ACDelco unit has been working like it is supposed to for the past 7 years.

Re: oil dipstick

Unfortunately blow by is also caused by new rings that are not broken in or seated yet. If I am correct I  think your engine is realitivly new. Depending on the rings you installed some don't break in as easily as others. I have 5000 plus miles on mine and I don't think it is broke in yet. My $100.00 PCV didn't do a thing.
