    Wheel Spacers & Extended Studs

    1966 Mustang Coupe, 1988 5.0 Swap, T5z

    I want to put some 17 inch wheels from a 2007 mustang on my 1966.  I'm doing the REAR disc conversion (from stock drum) to work w/ the larger wheels.  I did the front disc brake conversion a year ago.  

    The plan is stock 17x8s all around (2000s Bullitt wheels) w/ 245/45/r17 and 1 inch spacers.  If I buy after market wheels new can I order them so that spacers aren't required? If so, how?  Also, will spacers effect needing wheel studs? Does a disc brake conversion automatically require longer wheel studs?

    Hi , 
    with my 66 i try to put rear disc but i had some issue with 14 inch stock rims that  was touching calipers.
    The brake kit was only for 15 inch and bigger , but my bad i didnt read the last little script at the end of page. For my lows i cant change wheel diameter so , i decided to return the kit . I did some trials before retun it .
    I try to fix it with spacers but i will need longer studs 
    The spacers are only the fast way to solve something that need more attention.
    Also the spacers have bad inluence on  wheel geometry 
    You will need to manage with offset of wheels to have more room . 
    in this way you are not in the need of spacers and longer studs
