I just did one on the Heap, Mike. I think the best idea is to start early and plan to devote the entire day and part of the evening if necessary. Take deep breaths and stay cool. If you keep calm it shouldn't take more'n an hour. If you fight it....read the above.

That's why my cars have the Wilwood adjustable prop valve with the pressure switch installed.

Back when I first started designing and installing power brakes and pedals on Mustangs, I could install a stoplight switch with my left hand only, without having to crawl under the dash.
I CAN NO LONGER DO THAT !!!

Company jet is down for it's annual.... I'll mail the z bar instead of taking it in my carry-on...

I bought one of those for the 67. Installation wasn't too bad laying in the floor with no seats in the car.
After 10 minutes of pushing on the brake pedal to get the switch to make contact, I gave up and tossed it in the trash. I bought switch with a plunger for a 73-79 Ford truck and made a bracket to hold it that is screwed to the pedal support.

It's worth the extra time and effort to take the drivers seat out first. The next time mine goes I'm putting a pressure actuated one in the bake line.

I've got sooooo good at this thang now!!
I have put in and taken out so may times today I could be a porn star.
Once you get sorta comfortable....and not sweating....at ain't actually so bad.
I figued out my adjustable pushrod was just a tad to long...therefore it kept pressure on the switch making it keep the lights on all the time.
Run outta time today butt buy tomorrow I should be zero'ed in on it.
Bolted to da flow.........I read about that on youtube. Does it work OK?!
I looked at the peddle stop pretty hard today. Looks like its very doable. Got a number to order that switch with?!

I just replace The Switch in my 67. It would be so much easier if the clutch pedal was not there. The job is much easier with the seats out but that seems a little overkill for a itty bitty switch.

I kinda did what bolted did...I removed the bumper stop and used that as a mounting spot for the plunger..when I got the car the plunger was mounted to the steering column with heater hose strap and an L bracket..not only did it look ugly but it wasn't consistent..i was able to jimmy my fat body upside down in there with my legs and body on the drivers seat lol...im sure it was a sight to witness..but I got er did and functionality is on spot!

Don't laugh......but after spending 25 years making a living as an electrician, I will use 4" square and 4-11/16" junction box covers without the center pre-pressed knockout to fab small parts. It's a decent gauge steel and it's relatively cheap.
I don't have the welding skills like some of y'all, so I bent the corner piece for strength and pop riveted it in place.
