Brake Boosters with and WITHOUT CLAMP BANDS?

Hi everyone, my neighbour has a 68, 289 mustang Coupe.  (im the owner of the white 69 fastback with the laundry list of questions)

I have a new Brake Booster (space saver 9" diameter).  we know that it fits and works with his application, but he asked me about "CLAMP BAND or NON CLAMP BAND"

can someone gives uz the coles notes of what it means and/or he infact REQUIRES IT or not???

many thanks,
Jeff

(oddly enough we're both Jeff's and thats not the entire freakyness of me moving into this neighbour)

Re: Brake Boosters with and WITHOUT CLAMP BANDS?

Go to www.mustangsteve.com click on FAQ link, then click on brake boosters and pedals.  You will find exactly the info you need.  Bendix is a crimped connection where the booster halves separate.  Midland has a clamp band around it with a single screw.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
