BB, Jean and RPM made it home from Bash 16.....

Sorry for taking so long to post but I picked up a double dose of Great North Woods Crud in Michigan and I've been pretty well laid low since we got home.

Jean, Bob (RPM) and I arrived in Montrose last Thursday afternoon.  The Kia only required one throttle body replacement and one tire repair to make the trip.  Bob and I spent Friday attending to his left wheel bearing issue and he was able to make a one-day blast back to Bakersfield on Saturday.  Neither of us were able to see anything that could have caused the failure.  The hub was ruined due to the outer race having spun so a new hub was used.  I used the same method of wheel bearing torqueing that I've used forever....very snug with channel-locks while spinning the hub, back off 1/4 turn and pin it.  Guess we'll hope for the best.

After that I didn't even feel like turning on the computer and am just now starting to feel like I might make it.
We had a great Bash and Cindy and Bob did a wonderful job as hosts.  Their planning and execution was great and even the weather cooperated.
One of the fun parts of this gathering for me is meeting newbies on their first time.  This year we had three brand new Bashers who I'll bet we will se more of....welcome Lori (Mrs. Jim Bowie), Oretha (Mrs. Jim's usual bash buddy, Mike), and Dan (Nos681).

Thanks again to Bob & Cindy, MS, and everyone who made the effort to attend Bash 16.  Hooking up with you all is the highpoint of my year.

BB
