2000 Mustang seats in my 1969?

Do the seats from the SN95's have the same frame width as the Fox bodies? I have the seats from an 82 on the 69 tracks, but the seats are trash and I have a chance to get a mint set out of a 2000. Has anybody used these seats or know the frame width?

Re: 2000 Mustang seats in my 1969?

I'm installing 2011 seats in my 67 and they fit well. I will take some pictures of how I mounted the 67 sliders to the 2011 frames. The SN95 seats would be a real breeze as the seat frame is flat on the bottom, not so on the 2011. My 67 seat tracks are 14" center to center which requires drilling four new holes in the 2011 frames. The front holes are easy, the rear ones require a 1/8" shim on the inside to create a flat spot for the track. I plan on tack welding the shim in place. I plan on installing 69 seat pans (at least on the drivers side) this winter to lower the seats about 1".

Re: 2000 Mustang seats in my 1969?

I have 96 seats in my 68. I used the 68 tracks, but had to drill an extra hole in the 96 seat bottom so that the tracks would fit as far aft as I could mount them. Couldn't use the power racks though. Put the seat way too high. I was able to wire in the air pump for the lumbar bladder though. I had to bend the 68 latching arm down flat so it would work and I had to shim the seat up with three flat washers (MS) so the seat fabric on the bottom would clear the tracks.

Wasn't the '94 through '04 the same car? Weren't the changes just cosmetic with the switch to "New Edge" styling in '99? If so, then the '00 seats should work like 95's and 96's.
