Really great to hear, Gary. My friends put the 2011 seats in the Falcon Project and they are great. Were you able to keep any of the power features? I always heard that the seats would be too high in a Mustang with the power features installed.
Now, a little AC and cruise control and you'll have a class A cruiser.
I'll be in touch to discuss the trip to Bash 17 next year.

Bob,
The AC is next on the list and she has cruise control. The power features of the 2011 seat consume quite a bit of space and will not work with the stock 67 seat platform. Major surgery would need to be done to get the power options working. Mine are non power now except for the lumbar support.

Question about installing the 67 tracks on the ‘11 seats...
Did you drill holes in the 67 tracks to match the mounting holes in the seats or did you drill/tap new holes in the seats to match the bolt holes in the 67 tracks?

Well, you can ignore my above question. I just pulled the power tracks off the '06 seats and the seats don't really fit in the convertible. Even without the new tracks bolted on, they won't sit flush on the floorpan. The sides are hitting the tunnel and the rockers. . I guess I'll save them for the next project and its back to the drawing board for the 64.5 vert.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
