I'm installing a Magnaflo kit in my coupe.
1) Roughly, what is the ideal space between the mufflers and the floor pans?
2) And how much of the turn down tips should extend past the rear valance (standard valance, not GT)to keep the gases from getting int the trunk, etc? I am not fond of pipes hanging way out the back, but don't wanna go too short, either.

Tim - I have the magnaflow setup on mine with the tail pipes under the valance. I will take some pics (if I remember) and post to give you at least one option to consider.

Magnaflow exhaust tips - about 2-1/4 in. from bottom edge of valence panel. No, my car is not dirty, that's the reflection off the parking lot.

There are lots of ways to position things, and alot of it just depends on you rpersonal preference. When I use turn downs on a car, I like to position them just like the 70 BOSS 302 originally had them. The rearmost tip was directly under or ahead of the bottom edge of the valance, and cleared it about 1/2" vertically. In that fashion, they are pretty much hidden from view, but still very functional.
