Surprise find

Finally took my 65 FB doors out of storage after 11 years. We pulled the glass and guts but there was still something in the bottom of the door.

I got the car from my brother-in-law, so I sent him this photo and asked if there was a story behind it. All he said was “I PLEAD THE FIFTH!”

Re: Surprise find

I'd cry statute of limitations, after 11 years anyone could put that there.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: Surprise find

My first mustang was a 68 coupe. When I started cleaning up the interior, I opened the heater box door and discovered a three finger bag of weed.....been there a very long time. And no, I didn't roll a fatty.....

Re: Surprise find

Wow! I remember back in the day, the only thing that went in the My brother's brand new Mustang was a few cans of beer to keep "cool" in the heater door. Out of sight and ready!

Re: Surprise find

I bet they used that neatly cut speaker hole to access their stash.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Surprise find

The first car I ever bought when I was in high school was a ‘78 Trans Am. I bought the car from an auction at the police impound lot. It had been towed and brought to the impound lot and no one ever claimed it. The car had been freshly painted and I could not understand why no one paid the towing and storage charges and claimed the car...but once I got the car home and starting going through the interior I figured out why no one claimed it. I found a ziploc bag of what I believe was cocaine under the center console.

Re: Surprise find

Found several small glass vials when I took the seats out of my '89 GT.  Guy who owned it before had a reputation as enjoying the nose candy.  Nothing in them of course...

If only I’d been brave enough/stupid enough to try and sell it, it probably would have paid for the car and then some.  But, I flushed it.

Re: Surprise find

I bought an old 84 F-150 and was cleaning it out. Stuck under the rear cab seat was a weathered old bank envelope from a cash machine. Inside was five $20 bills that all had one corner rotted away. I took them into a bank, and they gave me five new ones.
