If I went to all the trouble of creating an OHV (exhaust valve only) head for a flathead, I'd think I'd go with 4 and not 3 exhaust ports. Seems like a lot of work to still pinch the exhaust by y ing together the two middle exhaust ports.

Nice job, Paul.  I'm not a "flathead" guy, but I always heard that the big problem with them was heating caused by the long exh port that had to pass the full width of the cylinder bank.  There were a few flatheads running that had "reverse" cams with the exh out the intake ports and the intakes through the exh ports, so the heat must have been a real problem.
