Glad to hear that you made it unscathed. I can sure appreciate how fortunate you are. I used to live in Manvel, TX (just south of Houston) and made it through a number of tropical storms, a few hurricane near-hits, a major hurricane scare (Rita), and one hurricane hit (Ike). Our power was typically turned off by the power company a day or two before the storm hit and came on anywhere from a few days to a month later. I loved my generator, and so did a couple of my neighbors.
