Post storm

If there are a members North of me in Florida, I hope all is well.  We got lucky and didn't suffer any damage even though the wind was really bad last night.  We lost power during the storm yesterday and no idea when it'll be back on.  Our daughter has power so we borrowed their generator.  Spent the day putting everything away and cleaned up the yard.  I even washed all three cars.  Phone signal is not the great and we loose it all together.

While preparing for the storm yesterday, I found time to clean the garage.  I can actually move around in there now.

Re: Post storm

Glad to hear that you made it unscathed.  I can sure appreciate how fortunate you are.  I used to live in Manvel, TX (just south of Houston) and made it through a number of tropical storms, a few hurricane near-hits, a major hurricane scare (Rita), and one hurricane hit (Ike).  Our power was typically turned off by the power company a day or two before the storm hit and came on anywhere from a few days to a month later.  I loved my generator, and so did a couple of my neighbors.

Re: Post storm

Thanks everyone.  These storms sure are sad events.  They affect so many people.  We were lucky two years ago and got lucky again.

The hospital has canceled all outpatient procedures for today.  Not sure if I'll have to report to work or not today.  We have a four person team and we have one person going to one of the hospitals and another to check into the second hospital to see if we have emergency pacemaker implants that need done.   Praying I get to stay home and if so I plan on working on the mustang.
