The 2024 Bash will be held October 12th at Hart Park section 8, in Bakersfield California. The host hotel is the SpringHill Suites Bakersfield, 3801 Marriott Drive Bakersfield, California 93308, 661-377-4000. The rooms are $127 a night for October 10, 11, and 12, with checkout Sunday.

I spoke with Maria at Springhill Suites today, who said there are still 7 rooms blocked for the group at the discounted price. Once those rooms are booked we can block off more, but there is a chance of selling out. She said for best results call and ask for her, and her days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. Don't snooze and lose.

Apparently the online booking shows no more rooms are available, which is not true. If you've tried online without success, call Maria and book via the phone. There are currently 3 double queens, and 9 king beds available. I'm not able to add any more rooms to our block as the rest of the hotel is booked.

What in the hell is going on in Bako in October - nearly booked up five months out? I'm in shock. I did book a double queen room yesterday.

Booked today 5 17 24 The old Emberglo Girl will make the trip. I 'll also drive my mustang. Maria told me I got the LAST ROOM.

Glad you're gonna make the trip Don. Hmm...last room??? Two days ago Maria said 3 double queens and 9 king rooms were available. She's currently at lunch, but I'll check with her.

Maria advised the hotel is booked solid. Hotels on the same street, Marriott Dr, with available rooms as of just now include:

Doubletree by Hilton
661-323-1900

Marriott Courtyard

Hilton Garden Inn

I booked a room at the Hilton Garden Inn. Looks like it shares a parking lot with the official bash hotel, so not too far away.
Yes, I procrastinated too long…. I was waiting to be sure my back surgery was successful before booking my room.

tried the link again after the room was booked and it said no availability, but going to Marriot's web site looks like there are rooms still available for those dates.... I could be wrong.

Was the Bash block of rooms all rented?

Thanks guys on the logo compliment. My brother, member RCodePaul is responsible for the professional logo, which I obviously love cuz I approved it. Paul really went top shelf on the logo, for which I am grateful.

Yes John, the group block of rooms are sold out. I too just checked at marriott.com and rooms are available. The last time I spoke with Maria she said the entire hotel was booked. Just now when I called her she said there were rooms available, but not at the group rate. Swell. It seems like every time I call her I get different information. Sorry about that guys. Thanks for the legwork and info John.

For you guys that booked at neighboring hotels, you might want to cancel and book at Marriott.

Sheesh... okay, new update.

Maria just called and said there will be 13 rooms added to our block, 10 doubles and 3 Kings. Group rate and availability until September 15th. But don't let that make you (Steve Wilkes) procrastinate any longer.
