My good friend who has helped me a few times with my build asked me to paint a car for him. All I have to do is spray it and nothing else. He has been helping his friend get the car ready for paint. He told me his hands hurt to match to spray an entire car. In return he and his friend Dave will install my headliner and front and back glass.

I don’t mind messing up my stuff but there’s a bit of pressure on because my buddy is the one who taught me how to paint. I’ll spray it Sunday and take some pictures.

I like that idea on our cars. The barter system use to be quite popular, but I rarely hear people talking about it. Be careful, the IRS thinks barter is taxable.

Him and I go way back. We leaved a couples miles from each and helped each other out all the time. He’s a great friend and the best body man I know. Anything old school on an engine and he’s also the man!

Our son is in the marines and in Turkey. One of his good friends stopped by and helped me get the headliner about 70% tight and wrinkle free. No need to work on the headline to much since my buddy will be finishing it with the glass install.

Anyways my son’s friend also help me polish all the trim today. He’s a good kid and actually super smart. He plans on stopping by again this Saturday to help. Sad part is I don’t have a lot of work I can just have him do. Anything I do now will require me to pretty much teach him step by step. Which I will do without hesitation. I’ll spend all day on one thing if that’s what it takes.

When we opened the paint I knew it wasn’t a match. After a coat of sealer and two coats of basecoat we called it off. It was not matching at all. Owner of the car will take bumper which we were not painting and get it photo matched. I should have taken a picture of the two different shades.

So we called it off and will wait for the correct color which will be tomorrow. I’m not sure if I can make it tomorrow to help. Praying the hospitals didn’t get any add on cases over the weekend. If not then there’s a chance I can sneak out early.

No it was to far off.
