After moving from Penna to Covington LA. and setting up a new home(for me) I finally have the time to start driving my 67 coupe. I had it out today for about a 15 minute ride because I wanted to run it, to keep every thing lubed up. About 10 minutes into the ride I started to lose the power steering on turns, by the time I got home I had no power steering. The 67 has a 351w, 4speed top loader, stock power steering set up, pump, control valve, slave cylinder. I checked the fluid type F, showed on the dip stick to full mark hot, no leakage any where. All hoses good, belt to pump is tight, power steering pump made no noise at all, 3 years ago all new hoses, rebuilt pump, rebuilt slave cylinder, I had a good used control valve that I put into the system, new 16 to 1 steering box. Not sure where to start? Any help would be some thing I sure use. mustang stu

As the fluid level is OK, and there are no external leaks, I’d suspect an internal leak within the slave cylinder, or control valve.  I’d try loosening a high pressure fitting to verify pump is working.  Loosen it just a little, the normal pressure is fairly high (~1000psi).
