Rosette welds and what seemed like hundreds of tack welds and the long floor pans were in July-Sept 2016

New seat riser fitted and clamped in position. I used some threaded rod in each of the seat mounting holes
to pull riser down tight to floor pans. Marked and drill holes then rosette weld to pans and inner rocker panels.

Gonna make a little gear shift in my progress thread. Although I am still working on the passenger floor pans. I decided to take advantage of 30% off sale on sheet metal from a big vendor.
Purchased all the parts to rebuild my trunk floor. Took some careful measurements of original and
built a assembly jig. Cut and fitted the right and left side trunk floor sides to fit rear conv brace screwed and clamp together. The finished product in photo.

Realized that old saying in the first few months.
Sometime i'll just sit on the old milk crate and think about the next bite.
Better to chew slowly than rush into a sloppy repair.
Just keep plugging away.

With the change to Daylight Savings Time, I think I have more time in the evening to work on 'Ol Paint,
Started cutting out trunk tin ant damage. Right side quarter panel is worth saving ( keep the original metal when possible). Will need to replace bottom few inches of outer wheel house. Will post pics later.
Fellers get out and work on your Stang.

Cut out complete right side trunk floor. Removed everything but frame rail.
Frame rail in great shape because it was galvanized. Thanks team Iacocca.
To my surprise right side quarter panel has no body filler. Amazing for a 52 year old car.

Some surface rust on shackle bushing mount.
Will treat with rust converter and paint before installing right trunk floor

Bottom of quarter panel before rust treatment.
Will need to replace bottom of outer wheel house complete toast. Just a few small holes in bottom of wheel opening.

Ordered and received the lower outer right side wheelhouse. Started to fit in place.
fit really well at the bottom corner of quarter panel not so good at the top.
Remember when I worked with a good bodyman years ago.
and I quote " Nothing fits right out of the box that's why we make $50.00 per hour."
Worked for about four hours to modify the wheelhouse patch, happy with the fit.

Daily driver,
I send all my pictures to my picture file in my computer.
Then I use tinypic to post.
I find it is the simplest way for me.
I don't have an account with tinypic

My Dad always said" if you can't find time to do it right, how are you going to find time to do it over"
Ol' Paint has been in our family since 1976. When I started the latest teardown I made myself live by
the above quote. When its all said and done I hope to have a reliable, tight, comfortable car to enjoy.
That being said, I truly enjoy the building process. Never a bad day working on Ol' Paint.

Well fellas not making much progress.
Fell off into a hole, well had some repairs to make on my
travel trailer.Has consumed all my time for the last 2 months.
Need to get this repair finished have two trips to Northwest FL planned.
Those beautiful beaches are calling us.
will jump back into 'OL Paint soon.

After what seemed like forever the repairs are finished on my travel trailer.
Now I can get back to the Important repairs on Ol' Paint.
The last time I posted I had started to repair the right side outer wheel house..
Decided to take a look at the Left side wheel house, left side needs same repairs as right side.
Stripped off paint and a bunch of bondo to find that sometime in the past left quarter was repaired by
a person addicted to plastic filler. ( 1/2" thick in two dents )
So her are some pictures All areas highlighted by marker were previous damage filled without metal work.
