Re: GAS IS ON THE RISE.

Its probably going to go up more.  We are nearing summer and increased demand from summer travel typically causes a price bump.  There was also the announcement this past week that there will be no drilling on Federal lands in Alaska due to environmental concerns, which leads to an assumption that oil will be going up, speculation which ensures that it does, and filling stations and everyone else hedging their bet my raising prices now so that they have enough capital to refill their tanks when prices are higher at their next fill up.

Re: GAS IS ON THE RISE.

I was sick for a week and a half and haven't been out of the house. I couldn't believe the price jump when I went to get gas.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: GAS IS ON THE RISE.

87 was $3.59 last week, but oddly Diesel didn't move.  Still $3.99.  Gas is one thing, but if Diesel starts going up again get ready for the cost of EVERYTHING to go up.

Possibly.  That will depend on whether or not Diesel remains constant or goes up.  Heating oil demand has flatlined at this point, so they have a bunch of #2 they can throw red dye in and sell as on-road Diesel.  That's probably keeping the price down for now.  Once that supply glut is used up though all bets are off.  If Diesel goes up, EVERYTHING goes up.  The world runs on Diesel.  I'd gladly pay $6. gallon for gas if Diesel were $2/gallon.
